The famous journalist Madan Singh murder case happened in the year 1993 in Ajmer.  In the month of September, when journalist Madan Singh was coming from his office to fill petrol in his bike, he was fired upon at the Raja Cycle Square.  Madan Singh had jumped into the drain to save his life.  Madan Singh was admitted to JLN Hospital in Ajmer where he was operated upon and his life was saved.  Madan Singh was being treated in the surgical ward of the hospital.  Meanwhile, the assailants shot him after entering the hospital ward, in which he died.  In this murder case, a case was registered against many people including former MLA Rajkumar Jaipal, Sawai Singh.  The case went on in the court for a long time.  Seven years ago, the accused in the Madan Singh murder case were acquitted. After the shooting of former councilor Sawai Singh, the dead body has been kept at JLN Hospital for post-mortem.  Heavy police force has been deployed at the spot.  In fact, after the murder of journalist Madan Singh in 1993, Sawai Singh used to speak in the city. In view of the apprehension of the gathering of relatives in the hospital after the murder of Sawai Singh, the police has imposed heavy police force at the mortuary.  ACP Chunaram Jat is monitoring the whole matter.
